- [S49] Marriage Record, St Peter/St Paul Church, GRA-bui, far1,., This is a church wedding in addition to their civic wedding in 1825. The witnesses are shown as the two priests at the time: Augustin Ravoux and Lucien Galtier.
F: "L'an de N.S. 1842 et le 6 Juin je soussigné Evêque de Dubuque certifie avoir marié à St Pierre M.Alexandre Féribot avec M. Elizabeth Marie Gréhèm, les témoins ont été M. Augustin Ravoux et M. Lucien Galtier. En fois ce nous avons signé la présente"
E: "On the Year of Our Lord (Jesus Christ)1842, and on June the 6th, i, undersignedBishop of Dubuque, certify having married M (Mr) Alexandre Féribot with M (Miss) Elizabeth Gréhèm. "Jean Baptist Faribault likely hosted the wedding in celebration of the wedding of his oldest grandson, George to Euphrosine St. Antoine. The couple wed on October 30, 1850 in the log chapel of St. Peter, which stood just west of the Faribault house in Mendota. The wedding party then traveled to a St. Paul daguerreotype studio to record the occasion.

Euphrosine St. Antoine Faribault, the bride;
Jean Baptist Faribault, the grandfather of the groom.
George and Euphrosine Faribault inherited the Faribault house in Mendota in 1851 and operated “a well known hotel” until 1870. Several other proprietors ran hotels is the Faribault house after Jean Baptist moved from it Faribault Minnesota in 1854."; Gra-Far1, p 12 + Pictures.
